At: Andheri Girls Education Society - S.I. for Children with Mental Challenges, Mumbai, On: September 8, 2017
Conducted for 15 students aged 11-13 years and for 8 of their teachers, this was a program aimed at introducing differently abled children to the Gond art form and demonstrating how art can be integrated into the curriculum. Using reproductions of artworks from the Sarmaya collection adapted in Braille and speaking in Marathi and Gujarati, our facilitator Siddhant Shah helped students get a tactile sense of the art. The children then excitedly filled in cutouts and line drawings with their choice of colours.
