The program, which hosted 80 children aged between 14-16 years, took students through the basics of Gond art and involved them in creating their own artwork using this style. Speaking a mix of Hindi, Marathi and English, Siddhant Shah got the boisterous after-school class excited about being artists. The students were provided with materials, given a broad subject—aquatic life—and encouraged to enlarge upon the theme. They entered heartily into the spirit of things by drawing octopus, starfish and other underwater creatures in a dazzling array of colours.
