Girish Vira, the founder of Mumbai-based auction house Oswal Antiques, has launched a new series of videos on YouTube called Coin News, which promises to impart the history behind ancient coins. He starts at the very beginning – which people were the first to issue coins? “Not India,” says Vira and gently dissuades partisanship in favour of fact. He’s not here to divulge sensational or sensitive information about these coins, but foster a genuine interest in the subject.
