We held a series of express workshops at a conference for children enrolled in the City As Lab program, which aims to fosters a spirit of scientific inquiry in school children from all walks of life and across cities in India. The students were divided into groups and researched different civic issues, from water conservation to urban planning. Mitisha Mehta and Kamna Anand introduced the participants to Gond art so they could illustrate their final project work using this tribal art form from Madhya Pradesh. It was interesting to see how the children interpreted these varied and quite serious subjects through a colourful, creative lens.
