Madhubani art at a children’s home

At: St Catherine’s Home, Mumbai, On: January 21, 2018

Designed to be a hands-on and fun workshop for 60 girls, who are HIV+ and live at the St Catherine’s orphanage, this session sought to allow each child to express herself freely. Siddhant Shah was joined by Sarmaya’s Paul Abraham, Pavitra Rajaram, Mitisha Mehta and Kamna Anand, all of whom helped the high-energy kids to channelise their creativity and passion into the making of colourful Madhubani paintings. Each child was given a coaster-sized canvas to fill in her own distinctive style and the result was a happy riot of colours.
