‘Kalamkari Through The Senses’ by Rajarshi Sengupta

“A sensorial account of Kalamkari textiles, the masterfully crafted and brilliantly dyed cottons of southeastern India. My presentation will highlight the making and makers of these textiles.” Rajarshi Sengupta is a practitioner and art historian, who teaches fine arts at the Department of Humanities and Social Sciences at IIT, Kanpur. His textile works were part of a 2022 group exhibition, Crafting the Crossroad. This talk took place on 15 Oct 2022 at Pundole’s, Hamilton House, Mumbai.
