Sifra Lentin on her talk for Sarmaya: “This lecture will focus largely on the émigré community of the Baghdadi Jews in Bombay and interpret their built legacy in the context of Bombay’s economic, philanthropic and cosmopolitan milieu. It underscores why this legacy is so important to the worldwide Baghdadi Jewish community today.”

Sifra Lentin is a Mumbai-based writer and the Bombay History Fellow at Gateway House: Indian Council on Global Relations, a foreign policy think tank in Mumbai.
